Breathtaking Patagonian ice field photographed by German artist Frank Thiel

The Patagonian ice field - the third largest ice cap in the world - has become the subject of a series of monumental photographs by the German artist Frank Thiel.

Using digital cameras and working from boats in rough waters, Thiel has captured the majesty - as well as the fragility - of some of the most remarkable glaciers in the world.
The series of photographs is called Nowhere is a Place and is currently on display at the Sean Kelly Gallery in New York.
The show is a departure for Thiel who is best know for his large-scale depictions of the changing man-made landscapes of Berlin, the city he lives in.
It's really worth seing!
