The United Kingdom is represented in Expo 2010 Shangai (China)

The UK Pavilion in Shanghai Expo 2010 Awesome, isn't it? It's really huge. Compare to the people around. They look so small!
It's called Seed Cathedral

This funky design from British designer, Thomas Heatherwick will be the new UK pavilion at the Shanghai Expo in 2010.  The pavilion will be used as a seed bank with the largest collection of wild seeds in the world courtesy of the Kew’s Millennium Seed Bank partnership.
The unique building glows due to thousands of 7.5 meter fiber optic filaments which transport interior light to the face of the structure.  At night, these rods will illuminate the whole pavilion and hopefully create a great public venue for events.

Shanghai...

... is a metropolis in eastern China and one of the four direct-controlled municipalities of the People's Republic of China. Shanghai is the largest city proper of China and the world, as well as one of the world's largest metropolitan areas. Shanghai is the third largest of the four direct-controlled municipalities of the PRC.

  1. The UK pavilion has got a very unusual shape, it's really big and it's kind of mysterious, don't you think?
