Plovdiv in Bulgaria uncovers its ancient past

You might be forgiven for thinking Plovdiv, Bulgaria, looks like Rome or Athens. 

But those cities are infants compared to this place, which has a pretty good claim on being the oldest city in Europe. 

Christa Larwood discovers whether Plovdiv can use this ancient history to bring new life to its streets.

     Plovdiv has been listed as one leading ancient city. The city’s significance comes from its never ending sense of old stature that never comes to grow old. The city has been explored and looked for the magnificent treasure it has under its soil. 

    Plovdiv is a richer settlement in Bulgaria, and  the second  largest  city of the state after Sofia.The city of Plovdiv has been seen to attract even larger number of tourists from all across the globe than Sofia.The city has its originations going back to the Thracians. Much of town’s innate beauty is in its glaringly handsome geographical position going along two banks of river Maritza.

     The local people call the little hills spotted every here and there asTepe.Tepe make it look even more magical. It is highly recommended to  visit the  place in person to have the unique feela nd warmth of all its season. It is covered in snow, looking immaculately white in winters. Spring brings in a lot of blooming flowers and freshair.Summers are hot, reminding of the Thracian zeal and toughness.  Autumns are  ripe with figs and a quiet  juvenility.  Plovdiv is in the very centre  of Bulgaria.
