Present Perfect with ALREADY, YET and JUST

Present Perfect Tense - Already / Yet / Just


Already means that something happened earlier than we expected. With Present Perfect already usually goes after have or has ( Auxiliary Verb) and before the main verb. It is useed in the Affirmative form.

Examples:

- We've already had our breakfast.
- When are you going to do your homework?
- But I've already done it!
- Do you want a cup of coffee?
- No, thanks. I've already had one."

Yet means that something that we expected has happened or hasn't happened. It's used with Interrogative and Negative sentences. We usually put it at the end of a sentence.
Examples:
- Has the post arrived yet?
- Have you done your homework?
- Not yet.
- Haven't you got ready yet? Look at the time!

Just is used to talk about recently completed actions. It's only used with Affirmative sentences. We put it between the Auxiliary Verb and the Main Verb.
Examples:
a)They've just left.
(They left only a short time ago.)

b)She has  just told me what you did!
(She told me only a short time ago what you did.)

c)They've just finished.
(They finished only a short time ago.)

    First off I would like to say excellent blog! I had a quick question which I'd like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing. I have had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there. I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or tips? Many thanks!
